This book responds to the demand by students and instructors for "international" cases, as well as local cases, to be included in their courses. There are five Asian cases and four New Zealand cases in addition to 17 cases about Australian organisations in both the domestic and international markets. There are four industry level cases at both domestic and international level. There is a balance of business, corporate and industry-level cases, small and large organisations, mature and high-growth, strategic analysis and strategic process.
The cases have been written to cater for the needs of strategy students at all levels - MBA, other postgraduate, executive and undergraduate programs. The cases are slightly shorter than most comprehensive cases that this author team has written in the past, to reflect student's needs for a more compact package. The cases can be used for analysing complex strategic issues, for tapping into the experience of executives in the classroom and for use in bringing the case up to the present, by making the case a "live" example of current strategy.
