1) An electric motor with a mass of M is mounted on an elastic foundation and is found to vibrate with a deflection of 0.25 m at resonance. The unbalanced mass m of the motor is % 12 of mass M. If the < damping ratio of the foundation is 0.035. a) Determine the eccentricity e of the unbalanced mass. b) Assuming that the eccentric mass remains the same, determine the mass to be added to the motor if the deflection of the motor at resonance is required to be 0. 15 m. M.
