A wheel (weight G, radius R) is held at rest on an angled slope (angle a to the horizontal) by a block (weight G, height 2R, width R) lying on the slope (see Figure 4). The coefficient of static friction between the slope and the wheel, and between the slope and the block is J.1 = J.1O = ~. The contact between wheel and block is assumed to be frictionless. What is the maximum angle a of the slope for the system to be at rest?
