Acceleration is sometimes measured in gees, or multiples of the acceleration due to gravity: 1 g (1g) means 1 x g, or 9.8 m/s 2 gees (2g) means 2 x g or 2 x 8 m/s 19.6 m/s and so on. Suppose you experience 4 gees of acceleration in a rocket traveling in space a. What is your acceleration in m/s b. You will feel a compression force from the acceleration. Numerically, how does this force compare to your normal weight? c. The rocket engine is turned off. How many gees do you experience after this happens?
