An antenna operating at a frequency of 200MHz has an input impedance of 120 ± ј40Ω. It is connected to a transmission line of characteristic impedance of 50 Omega.

Determine:

1. The standing wave ratio (SWR) on the line

2. If the input power to the antenna is 10 W from a generator of 50Omega output impedance, what is the radiated power?

A transmission line of 80Ω characteristic impedance of length 1 = X/4 is connected between the source and the antenna.

3. Determine the radiated power in this case
