The characteristics of a 50 Hz, 400 V (RMS)(line), 4-pole three-phase induction motor are as follows: Stator resistance, per winding, is 0,6 Ω Stator leakage reactance, per winding, is 2,4 Ω Rotor resistance referred to stator winding, per winding, is 1,3 Ω Rotor leakage reactance referred to the stator winding, per winding, is 1,9 Ω The magnetising current and the iron losses can be ignored. (a) The motor is connected in star configuration during starting. Determine, for the start (zero speed) (i) Supply current and power factor (ii) Torque at standstil (b) The motor is connected in delta configuration during running. Determine for a slip of 0,02 (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) Speed, in rpm Supply current Power factor Mechanical power Electrical power Efficiency
