Begin your analysis by completing the labelling of the follow ing control-volume. 4 (NB: the notation qx means the conductive (diffusive) heat flow rate per unit area in the x direction) Volumetric heat release Fluid properties gy p, Cp, k u, h, qx h +? v, h, qy Assume Fouriers law of heat conduction applies for the diffusive heat fluxes, e.g. OT Ox etc.Proceed as follows: I. assume the physical property which describes the heat content of the control volume I write down the conservation law for this property is specific enthalpy h CpT (J/kg) II. use the above diagram to deduce the governing equation for temperature.
