OverviewThis is a collection of writing from one of the pioneers of the North American women's movement. The book includes over 18 essays, including "Theory and Practice: Pornography and Rape". There are also up-to-date commentaries on each essay. Recalled are the symbolic crowning of a sheep at a beauty pagent protest in the 1960s at which bras were certainly binned but never burned; analysis as to the significance of the loss of Simone de Beauvoir in 1986; and in 1990, a look at the massacre of 14 female engineering students in Montreal.
